FA Made To Wait For Rooney Report

UEFA has delayed giving the Football Association their written reasons for handing England striker Wayne Rooney a three-match international ban.

The FA said in a statement that it had been advised by Europe's governing body that the information may not be provided "for another week at a minimum".
Rooney was suspended after being sent off for assaulting Montenegro's Miodrag Dzudovoic during England's final qualifier this month.
UEFA had been expected to give their reasons by Thursday this week but the FA must now wait longer before deciding whether to challenge the ban.
"Once the reasons are received, The FA will determine on any appeal after discussions with Fabio Capello and Wayne Rooney," read the FA statement.
Rooney stands to miss all three of England's group games at Euro 2012 if the ban is upheld.
